  • This new edition of Ticino Rock Falesie has been entirely revised, corrected and expanded. It features 69 climbing sites, some of which have never been published so far, for a total of 3450 routes. The guide, which has been updated and expanded offers a wide choice of equipped rock structures in the Ticino territory, which offer excellent crags, interesting not only for the beauty of the rock and for the variety of its climbing, but also due to its mild weather which makes it appreciated by climbers from the nearby regions north of the Alps. The book is completed with a significant number of information sheets on characters and stories which have contributed to the climbing legend in these territories. Due to the large number of new crags and new sectors, in this edition the Italian area of Varese is excluded, which for many years has been linked to our edition on the Ticino area.

Egon Bernasconi born in Locarno in 1979 he studied mathematics and teaches full time in the Bellinzona High School, he then dedicates his free time to climbing and improving the areas of the Ticino vertical world. In 2008 together with a few friends he established the Picalciot association, a handful of fanatical climbers who have the aim of promoting climbing in Vallemaggia; to this day the most active group in bolting climbing routes in the Ticino area. Egon has opened over 500 new single pitches and various multi-pitch routes spread around the Ticino territory; however his favourite playground is the Vallemaggia area, where he lives.
