The Apennines have features that the Alps lack: exploration, discovery and surprises hidden behind peaks that are considered “diminutive”. Yet they give us a extraordinary variety and richness. The slopes you can ski on are countless. We have selected 104 different routes, driven by the idea of encouraging exploration and discovery. These routes are, in fact, mostly unknown and less trodden. This guidebook will offer you both easier routes and more technical and difficult ones, including several routes that are deemed amongst the most difficult in these mountains. The introduction features a section about the peculiar characteristics of meteorological traits of the area, which you never have to underestimate. The guidebook aims at being an invitation towards exploration and new routes and ideas, featuring innovative and original suggestions.
