This book is published only in Italian.
A guidebook presenting a veritable trove of different proposals: from the classic to the less known - and sometime nearly forsaken - trails, winding in an incredible landscape. The selection is organized according to a geographical criterion, from the west to the east, and the features of the trails are clearly indicated; the "alpinistic" trails and the via ferratas are described in a separate chapter. The route descriptions include: minimum and maximum height; cumulative elevation gain; walking time, assessed depending on the difficulty and the terrain. The descriptions include the escape routes; GPS coordinates of huts and emergency shelters are clearly indicated. On the maps are clearly marked the most important references, the most difficult traits, the viewpoints and the photo-opportunities, the rest areas (if any) or the places where you can have a nice break.
Luigi Tassi, born in 1966, began photographing very early, developing his works in black and white at home. Over the years, the passion has not diminished, becoming over time a full-time job that combines love with the mountains he has always frequented. He has experience in mountaineering and climbing, but trekking is his great passion; profound connoisseur of the Gran Sasso and the wild valleys that surround it, for years it has made this territory its second home. This first volume of the Guide takes us on the paths of the Gran Sasso and Monti della Laga National Park in the High Peak District with a particular attention to the description of the itineraries, highlighting from time to time the panoramic points and the best spots for photography.
