In three intense years he has covered the valleys from Innsbruck to the Brenner Pass, putting his systematic research into practice through this guide. Each trip reported here has been undertaken, photographed and described by the author himself. A direct, unique experience is concentrated within these pages, set up with one measure by one person. A meticulous cross-section beginning not only with the description of the vast ski-mountaineering potential still unfamiliar to the Italian audience, but it also describes the society, history and the most unusual aspects of life in the Austrian Tyrol.
About the Author
Roberto Iacopelli, a mountain guide from Bolzano, started climbing at a very early age collecting over one thousand ascents between the Dolomites, his local mountains, and the rest of the Alps – all through his experiences of winter alpinism and solo climbing as well as opening up a dozen new routes. He has written three climbing guides which are very well known to the public. The insatiable search for new spaces has led him this time to the barren land of the Tyrol.
