How to Pay?
We accept the following payment methods: Credit Card, PayPal, Satispay.
We accept all major credit cards, including prepaid cards.
Please note: the actual charge to your credit card will only occur once the order has been completed, meaning when it is shipped.
In case of refunds or transaction cancellations, the processing times depend solely on your bank. Some banks process refunds within a few days, while others do so at the end of the month, and Versante Sud has no control over these times.
What are the preparation and order fulfillment times?
Orders are typically fulfilled, meaning they are handed over to the courier, within one business day from receipt. This is because our online catalog always lists titles as "available for immediate dispatch." When a title is out of stock or being reprinted, it is marked as "unavailable" and cannot be purchased.
Please note: "One business day" means that if you place an order on Friday evening, your package will not be shipped before Monday. When estimating fulfillment and shipping times, always consider holidays, weekends, vacations, etc.
What are the shipping costs and delivery times?
Shipping costs depend on the weight of the package.
Shipping costs are automatically calculated by the e-commerce system and will be displayed before the completion of the order and payment.
Delivery times are generally 4-5 business days from the day of shipment.
FREE SHIPPING in Italy for orders over 60 Euros (the subscription to the Up Climbing magazine is not included in the price).
For express shipping (1 business day from shipment), you can use the express courier service at a cost of 10.00 Euros, if the order is placed by 1:30 PM.
For some locations (Sardinia, Sicily, Calabria, remote areas), delivery takes 2 business days from shipment.
IMPORTANT: By selecting the EXPRESS shipping option, you are purchasing the following service:
1. Shipment processed on the same day the order is received (if placed by 1:30 PM).
2. Shipment via the CRONO EXPRESS service of the SDA courier.
The 1-day delivery is therefore not guaranteed by Versante Sud but by the SDA courier. In case the package is lost or delayed due to strikes or other issues affecting the shipping times declared by SDA, Versante Sud is relieved of all responsibility.

For international shipments, depending on the country and type of service, we use International Registered Mail or an international courier.
Shipping times, in this case, can range from 4-5 business days (France, Germany, Austria, Slovenia, Belgium, and the Netherlands), to 6-7 business days (United Kingdom, Spain, Central-Eastern Europe, Baltic States, Scandinavia), up to 12-14 business days (Mediterranean Basin, Russia, Ukraine).
Is it possible to specify a precise day and/or time for delivery?
No. All shipments are made via Poste Italiane and couriers operating nationwide, who make deliveries according to their own organizational procedures, which we have no control over.
Usually, packages are delivered in the morning; therefore, it is advisable to provide an address where someone is always available to receive the package, and if paying by cash on delivery, to ensure payment is possible upon delivery.
What happens if the delivery person cannot find anyone at the indicated address?
If there is no one at your home who can sign for the delivery, we recommend providing an alternative address, such as a building with a concierge, an office, or a shop. Just indicate this in the "Street and number" field on the order form. For example: "c/o Office XYZ, Via Garibaldi 123"; "c/o Concierge, C.so Italia 1", etc.
If no one is present at the address you provided at the time of delivery, the courier will leave a notice with details of the post office where you can pick up the package in the following days, or contact details to arrange a new delivery.
It is not possible to provide "alternative" delivery instructions to the shipping address.
For example, instructions like "if no one is home, leave the package at the florist's/at the shop around the corner/at the café... etc." cannot be given.
This is because the couriers are responsible for what they deliver and understandably follow the provided instructions. They are not required to make exceptions, and if they do, it is only in exceptional cases and under their own responsibility. They are not responsible for deliveries made to a location other than the officially indicated address.
Attention: the package will remain in storage for up to 7 days, and there may be a storage fee for its retrieval, which is determined solely by Poste Italiane (or the courier used), and Versante Sud has no influence over it.
Versante Sud cannot be held responsible for any disruptions or issues related to incorrect or incomplete address information or undelivered packages.
In case of a return due to failed delivery, incorrect address, or expired storage period, we will cancel the transaction from your credit card or PayPal account (if the purchase was made using one of these methods), reserving the right to retain the amount corresponding to the shipping costs as indicated on the receipt.
Attention: any customs or import duties will be charged when the package reaches the destination country. These fees are the responsibility of the recipient, and we have no control over these fees, as they can vary significantly from country to country. However, it is important to note that Registered Mail is generally not subject to customs duties. For further clarification, we recommend contacting the customs authorities in your country.
Are the shipments trackable?
Shipments are trackable via the websites of the couriers used. Similarly, packages shipped with express couriers or international couriers are trackable through the delivery company portals or international shipping networks.
When your order is shipped, you will receive an automatic email containing the tracking information; if you do not receive it, please check the "Spam" folder in your email inbox. You can also contact Versante Sud's customer service (ordini@versantesud.it) if you need to verify the shipment and track it
Can I return a product after receiving it?
Yes! Purchases made on our website are regulated by Italian law on distance selling. If you made a mistake with your order and received a book you didn’t want, if the book doesn’t meet your expectations, or if it is not in perfect condition, you have 14 days from the delivery date to exercise your right of withdrawal, meaning the ability to return the book.
We will gladly accept the return of any item in perfect condition in accordance with the law, and we will refund the full amount, excluding shipping costs, as provided by Italian law.
Please note that according to the law, return shipping costs are covered by Versante Sud in case of shipping errors on our part (e.g., if you received the wrong book) or if the product is defective (e.g., damaged book, poorly bound, missing pages, etc.); return shipping costs are covered by the buyer in the case of order errors (e.g., duplicates) or if the book is not as expected.
If possible, please include a copy of the payment receipt and delivery note in the return package, which must be properly packaged, and send it, preferably with trackable shipping, to:

Attention: For items with SIAE stickers, the product must be returned with the sticker intact. Returns of items with broken or missing SIAE stickers will not be accepted.
Damaged Products: If the products you purchased are defective or damaged during transport, please contact our Customer Service by writing to ordini@versantesud.it and include “Missing, damaged, or non-compliant item” in the subject of the email.
